Attorney Janet Pumphrey‘s review of two books on writing has recently been published by the Massachusetts Law Review in Volume 95, number 2. The first book reviewed is entitled Point Made: How to Write Like the Nation’s Top Advocates, by Ross Guberman, and is written for lawyers, using extensive examples of excellent legal writing. The second book, entitled How to Write a Sentence, by Stanley Fish, is a book about writing for all writers and is as much about how to read a sentence as it is about how to write on.
