Update on Thorny Zoning Regulations & Cases by Patricia Cantor

Patricia Cantor will be a member of the faculty at an MCLE session on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.  There have been a number of important recent zoning cases that answer some questions but leave many others unresolved.  This briefing focuses on some of the more complicated developments, and addresses such topics as how and when (and when not) to challenge a building inspector’s permit or decision; whether, when, and how nonconforming uses and structures may be altered or expanded; what uses are protected under the Dover Amendment; and when and how to appeal site plan decisions.
